In an era , when Muslim community along with other marginalized backward communities continued to exist in illiteracy and ignorance , Jamia Nadwiyya laid its foundation in 1964 by Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) a socio- cultural – educational renaissance movement in Kerala .

Jamia Nadwiyya Training College was established in 1995 with the approval of the Government of Kerala. It is affiliated with the University of Calicut and has received recognition from the Southern Regional Committee of NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) to offer the B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) course. At the time of its establishment, there were no other government-aided or unaided training colleges in Malappuram District, making Jamia Nadwiyya Training College a significant addition to the educational landscape. The college boasts an affluent library and seven well-equipped laboratories for Educational Psychology, Social Studies, Science, and Work Experience. It also provides dedicated rooms for physical education and art education. The college campus includes a spacious playground that offers facilities for various sports and games. The college has a strength of 200 students and a faculty of 16 members who teach five optional subjects: English, Arabic, Social Science, Natural Science, and Physical Science. With its comprehensive infrastructure and focus on teacher training, Jamia Nadwiyya Training College aims to prepare aspiring educators to become competent and effective teachers in their respective subjects.
Jamia Nadwiyya Arts and Science College was established in 2003 with the aim of providing quality education and shaping graduates who are well-versed in modern science and possess professional competence, social responsibility, and moral integrity. The college offers undergraduate courses such as BA (English), B.Com, B.Sc Physics, BCA, and BBA. Additionally, it offers postgraduate courses including M.Com and M.Sc (Physics). The college is affiliated with the University of Calicut, ensuring that the curriculum and standards align with university guidelines. The students of Jamia Nadwiyya Arts and Science College have shown excellent performance in university examinations, highlighting the effectiveness of the education provided. Jamia Nadwiyya Women's Arabic College was established in 2013 as part of Jamia Nadwiyya's commitment to promoting higher education for girls. This college is exclusively for women and is affiliated with the University of Calicut. The college offers self-financing programs, including BA Afzal-ul-ulama Preliminary and BA Afzal-ul-ulama Degree, focusing on Arabic studies. Many girls enrol in the college to pursue their education and graduate with enthusiasm to serve the community.
